In 2006, A2Justice organized a National Workshop on Eradication of Torture. The workshop was organized in collaboration with the Office of the Federal Attorney General in October, 2006 at Chelsea Hotel, Abuja. Participants included officers and men of the Nigeria Police, Judges and Magistrates from six states of the Federation and law officers from Justice Ministries. This conference helped to raise awareness of the widespread and chronic use of torture in law enforcement precincts across Nigeria.
