On the 14th of September 2009, Access to Justice petitioned the Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on behalf of one Mr. Martins Chibunnam Nwachukwu, calling on him to comply with Court Orders for the release of properties belonging to the latter, who obtained judgment and orders against the Agency in a court Ruling dated 22nd May, 2009, and for payment of compensation as also directed by the court. Mr. Martins Chibunnam Nwachukwu contacted Access to Justice under its Rule of Law project called the Judgment/Order Compliance Registry Programme (JOCRP), requesting AJ to apply the programme to his case. Under its JOCRP initiative Access to Justice has made a number of representations to the NDLEA and we hope to get positive response.
