Vacancy for Legal Programme Attorney
The candidate will manage programmes to strengthen core rule of law values, and will coordinate multilateral sets of actions directed at achieving the objectives of assigned projects within mostly challenging time frameworks. Utilizing a cocktail of interventions – such as research and investigation, as well as reporting, advocacy, litigation, and publishing, the Candidate will need to raise public concern on rule of law issues and generate pressure for correction or reform. The candidate will be required to implement strategic plans to achieve stated goals, identify further opportunities for delivering activity goals, as well as direct the activities accomplishing the set goals. S/he will prepare periodic reports of the progress achieved by managed projects and will work within an integrated and interdisciplinary environment, as well as interface with, and provide support for others working in a number of interrelated programmes. S/he will work within the context of agreed performance benchmarks.
The ideal candidate must hold a first degree in law and have at least two years post-qualification experience. S/he must demonstrate familiarity with managing projects of a similar nature and ability to achieve stated goals within defined periods. The candidate will spend a short time in Lagos but will ultimately be required to relocate to FCT Abuja.
