The Justice Support Network is platform for lawyers, paralegals, civil society groups and legal aid providers across Nigeria who wish to work hand in hand with victims of brutality from law enforcement agencies and families of victims of extrajudicial killings, to come together as volunteers, in putting action to words.

TOO MANY VICTIMS: TOO LITTLE JUSTICE
For too many of our people, abuses and killings by law enforcement agencies are everyday occurrences – many face constant harassment, exploitation and degradation; many are tortured and killed. And for many of them, they have to endure this brutality with silence, the sort that is forced by, or expressed as helplessness.
Over many decades, the silence of the abused and victimized has emboldened violators, and facilitated a culture of impunity among culprits. If this despair among victims must end, we need to reach out to them, give them a lift up and stand shoulder to shoulder with them.
With just a little assistance we can help end the culture of silence in order to break the culture of impunity among law enforcement agencies.
PUTTING ACTION TO WORDS.
Over the years there has been an increased call for law enforcement agencies to be accountable for abuses and killings. These calls need to be supported with action on the part of the major players in the temple of justice. In this light, we present the Justice Support Network (JSN).
WHEN YOU DECIDE TO JOIN.
1. You would have access to a platform for idea sharing and exchange of experience across the country.
2.You would also have the opportunity to expand and build your knowledge base through workshops and trainings on the Freedom of information Act, Coroners' Inquest Law amongst others.
3. You will have access to latest information and resources, both local and international on human rights.
4. Most of all, you will avail yourself the opportunity to give back to society by aiding the indigent and the vulnerable.
MODUS OPERANDI OF THE JSN
*Where there is report of extrajudicial killing, or torture by law enforcement agents, you would be contacted through a phone call or e-mail if it falls within your locality.
*You may decide to handle the case on a probono basis.
Where this is not possible, A2Justice will undertake the cost of filing and out of pocket expenses.
*You may also decide to enter into a contingency fee arrangement with the client and A2Justice.
